Welcome to Tribute. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or related services (the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they establish your rights, responsibilities, and obligations when using Tribute.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in your country) to use Tribute.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

2. User Content & Rights

Users may upload text, photos, videos, life journeys, albums, QR codes, and messages (collectively, “User Content”). By submitting User Content:

• You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to share it.
• You grant Tribute a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share your content for the purpose of providing and improving the Services, subject to your visibility settings (public or private).
• You retain ownership of your content. Tribute does not claim ownership over tributes, albums, or messages you create.

3. Prohibited Activities

• No uploading of illegal, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or harmful content.
• No impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity.
• No tampering with, hacking, disrupting, or reverse-engineering the platform.
• No posting of spam, advertisements, or unauthorized commercial promotions.

4. Moderation & Reporting

Tribute provides moderation tools for owners to approve or reject messages. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, moderate, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Users may report inappropriate content, which we will handle in good faith.

5. Payments & Premium Features

• Some features (e.g., premium tributes, extended storage, or add-ons) may require payment.
• Payments are processed securely by third-party providers. Tribute does not store full payment card details.
• All fees are displayed at the point of purchase. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of Tribute is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Tribute running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen issues may temporarily affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

Tribute is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tribute is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, data loss, service interruptions, or unauthorized use of User Content by third parties.

9. Intellectual Property

• All platform software, design, logos, and branding are owned by Tribute and its licensors.
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute Tribute’s code, branding, or trademarks without written consent.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Services, or engage in illegal activities. You may also request account deletion at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Tribute after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict of law principles.
